Am I required to do participatory coursework or can all of my CLE hours be self-study?
No. Self-study is permitted but not required. The California State Bar requires 25 hours of CLE credit. Of these 25 hours, a maximum of 12.5 may be self-study. All 25 hours may be participatory. The Lawyers’ Mutual website has sufficient resources to meet all of your requirements.
